Every holiday season, the Angel, a program sponsored by Walmart and the Salvation Army brings more than one million children in need joy by giving them presents on Christmas day. The collaboration has lasted more than 40 years, providing children with clothes and toys. Luckily Angel Trees give you the ability to take part in this altruistic and are easy to find, they are located in any Walmart and also accessible on Salvation Army online registry. 

To help families in need, go to your local Walmart and pick a tag from the Angel Tree. The tag has the child’s information and what they want/need. Simply buy from their list and go to the Customer Service booth to drop off the items bought. This act of kindness will bring Christmas joy for a child that is wanting to celebrate. 

If you are not able to shop in person, online is always an option. By entering your zip code, you are able to find your local Salvation Army. Salvation Army’s locations nearby are in Buena Park, Bellflower, Downey, and in Long Beach. Once you have selected a child, you can shop and pay regularly and Walmart will deliver these items or you can drop off the items at Walmart.
