Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, is a traditional celebration that falls on Jan 29, 2025 to begin the year of the Snake. More specifically, it’s the celebration of the Wood Snake which only occurs every 60 years and symbolizes nature and healing.
The Snake is the 6th animal in line in the Chinese zodiac signs. This animal symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and also creativity. Snakes are also known to be very loyal, and would do anything to help and protect the people in their life. The snake has also been celebrated in the years of 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013 and now 2025.
Its significance connects with the rebirth as they shed their skin which shows the cycle of life.
The Snake has been a figure in different legends and cultures around the world. But in Chinese culture, the snake is correlated to having good luck, prosperity, charm and intelligence.
By embracing the year of the Snake, it can help you grow as an individual and create Good Feng Shui. Good Feng Shui is a phrase used during this celebration that represents harmony. This year of this Snake should help reflect upon the snake’s qualities.
