On August 12, 2025, at exactly 10:00 a.m., the West Gym was buzzing with laughter, hugs, and the occasional “How was your summer?” The Cerritos High School staff, from teachers to front office heroes, came together for the annual Staff Panoramic.
Much like the students after a long summer, our educators reunited cheerfully, and sometimes goofily, as buddy pictures will attest. There was plenty of back-to-school energy, which became contagious and sparked excitement for the school year even for those still holding on to the last moments of vacation.
This year, the crew wore brand-new t-shirts sporting the 2025–2026 theme: “Fits Us to a C”, a nod to our classic letterman jacket. The backs of the shirts proudly displayed words like Confident, Compassionate, and Champion that are all excellent words to describe our staff.
Once the panoramic was snapped, many staff members jumped into “buddy pic” mode, striking fun poses for yearbook head photographer, junior Janold Blanshard.
“The panoramic is such a fun way to kick off the year,” said Speech Therapist Specialist Camille Mojica. “It makes me feel super pumped and ready to start yet another school year! I’m definitely excited. I’m interested to meet my new students and see the returning ones as well.”
After the group photo frenzy, staff headed off for ID pictures and classroom set-up, because, let’s face it, those bulletin boards aren’t going to decorate themselves.
If the smiles in the West Gym were any indication, Cerritos High is in for another fantastic year. And from the looks of it, our staff is ready to teach, inspire, and maybe sneak in a few more buddy photos along the way.
