Bright lights beamed and Don Pride radiated through the West gym as crowds of students took the bleachers, where our ASB representatives announced the elements to the upcoming school year. On Aug. 15, 2025 from 9:18a.m. to 11:23a.m., Cerritos High School’s Sneak Peek Assembly gave newcomers an opportunity to learn what to expect, as well as for returning students to prepare for the exciting school year to come. Put together by the hard work of ASB, Dons watched in anticipation for the first assembly of the 2025-2026 school year.
The ASB Cabinet introduced themselves and announced the upcoming events, including spirit days, quad events, and the interactive games open to each and every student. Club Week, set to begin on Sept. 8, was also announced through an entertaining skit, featuring Club Magkaisa, SEASA, and the Business Economics Club.
Representatives of both sides of the West Gym were chosen by ASB in a game where participants must reach the opposing hoops, advancing by winning a classic match of Rock Paper Scissors. With candy hand-outs being given to the victorious, students cheered and roared during the intense game of hands, hoops, and sweet treats.

“We want our students to know exactly what Cerritos High School has to offer,” said ASB President Amy Ge, “we have a bunch of assemblies, dances, sports games, and more coming up and ASB will work day and night to make them perfect.”
Afterwards, Cerritos High School’s proud school staff and counselors took the stage of black and gold. Counselors welcomed classmen to their offices in times of need, while staff shared about themselves and promised a great school year.
Cerritos High School’s Sneak Peek Assembly had been brought back with the help of ASB and school staff after a long hiatus of seven years. “We’re definitely planning to bring back this annual tradition in the future,” says Amy Ge, “stay tuned and follow the Cerritos Way, Dons!”
