Last week’s Hoco Premiere revealed this year’s Homecoming theme: “Beneath the Blossoms.” During lunch, our senior officers announced all the nominees for king and queen.

The nominees for king are: Tyler McMicheal, Michael Lam, Alec Alverez, Hanbae Lee, Anthony Chap, Alan Poon, Matthew Bernardo, Zandrei Paredes, John Steele, and Jonah Borcelos.

The nominees for queen are: Lauren Arca, Hailey Steele, Amy Yujun Ge, Katheryne Gonzalez-Garcia, Nikhita Guntapalli, Madelyn Macareg, Julianne Ji, Emily Park, Amani Patel, and Emma Venegas.

There was also a fun performance from actors and several seniors walked the runway to show fashion students can wear to homecoming. When asked why she wanted to be part of the premeire, senior Emma Venegas said, “I thought it would be a nice opportunity to be one of the walkers.” She also shared, “I liked it—the colors, everyone’s dresses, and outfits.”

It’s time to get excited for the Homecoming football game on Thursday September 25, 2025 and now the Homecoming Dance! Contracts are now available, and can be picked up outside of ASB. The dance will be held on September 27th from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Remember, you must bring your school ID to enter.
