Day 2 of Club Week continued to fill the quad with students looking for a place they could fit. Dons were eager to see what Cerritos Academic Clubs had to offer. Colorful posters and crowded tables drew students in, where they leaned over sign-up sheets, asked questions, and picked up flyers.
Each day featured a new set of clubs, and today highlighted the academic ones. These are clubs dedicated to exploring and deepening knowledge in specific subject areas.
Clubs that were represented included HOSA, National Honor Society, MAO (MU Alpha Theta), CSF (California Scholarship Federation), National Chinese Honor Society, Japanese National Honor Society, and SOF (Scientists of the Future).
Senior Brianah Llamas, a member of HOSA, explained that her club focuses on leadership, service, and skill development for students interested in the medical and health sciences. She shared that her goal is to help students explore careers in healthcare, develop real-world skills, and give back to the community through service projects and competitions.
