Amber lights, sakura ambiance, and jubilation filled the West and East Gym at the Homecoming Dance of 2025. On Sept. 27, 2026, Dons danced ‘beneath the blossoms’ from 7p.m. to 11p.m.. Each and every Don bloomed with liveliness, as they breathed in the decor set up by ASB and partook in the many activities available.
Students crowded the South Parking Lot, arriving with partners and friend groups as they were welcomed in by our administrators. In the East Gym, students danced their hearts out on the dance floor, surrounded by cherry blossom landscapes. Complete with a fog machine and LED lights, the DJ played a multitude of classic party songs including Cha-Cha Slide, Gangnam Style, and Party in the USA.
“I got to dance out there with all my friends, the vibes were immaculate, and the music choices were perfection,” said senior Tyler McMichael.
In the West Gym, hanging lights illuminated the students below, seated at round tables draped with elegant white cloth and decorated with pink flowers in marble vases. However, there was much more to do than just dance; the room was filled with free arcade machines, activity booths, and catering for every student to enjoy. Some students competed at air hockey, foosball, and Street Fighter, while others got caricatures, temporary tattoos, and arts-&-crafts creations as they enjoyed the assortments of different lattes and sweets.
“I like how it’s really interactive,” said senior Emma Venegas, “anyone can play
with friends and dance their hearts out right after. Everybody’s got something to do!”
The Homecoming tradition is a long-lasting tradition aiming to encourage Don pride and let students create lifelong memories. Featuring inspired themes to separate each year from the last, the Homecoming of the 2025 to 2026 school year left a great impression for the next dances to come.
