Colorful booths from colleges near and far spread across the quad on Oct. 15, 2025 during lunch. Featuring representatives from a multitude of programs, Dons got the opportunity to delve deeper into their future and college education. With the College and Career Passports, students were able to ask questions while earning fun prizes at the same time.
The present colleges and programs included: Cerritos College, Grand Canyon University, UC Irvine, CSU Dominguez Hills, American University of Health and Science, Los Cerritos YMCA, CSU Long Beach, Cypress College, the California Abilities Network, Bamfit Athletics of Whittier, Teacher Track, Fritz & Calhoun Property Development, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Marines, and the K-9 Unit of the Los Angeles County’s Sheriff Department. “With this amount of colleges, it was a great opportunity to explore the multiple paths I could possibly take,” says senior Johnathan Vida.
Students were also able to retrieve a College and Career Passport from counselors in the quad. By asking one question to five different representatives, who would punch in a slot on the card, students could spin a wheel to win a prize and enter a raffle.
The College and Career Fair gives both upper and lower classmen alike guidance on the path ahead, aiming to help students discover new interests or pursue the path they’re currently taking. “The fair strives to supply the opportunity for knowledge,” said College and Career Counselor Valentina Diaz, “when I was going to school, my counselor didn’t give me the full information and unlike them, I wanna give you Dons all the information you would ever need.”
The College and Career Fair is an annual event featuring new and old colleges every year. With so many programs and so many interested, this year’s College and Career Fair was a success.
