The Cerritos Football Dons (3-5) shutout The Artesia Pioneers 26-0 Thursday night at Rants  Stadiums.

Quarterback Jake Bautista (Junior) completed 9 of 16 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown and interception. Bautista also led the team with 77 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Junior Josh Park and Sophomore Kalib Moran each also had a rushing touchdown.

Senior Alex Martinez has three catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.

“We are feeling great after the two straight wins, we struggled in the beginning of the season but the hard work is starting to pay off,” Martinez said.

Sophomore Nathaniel Crawford led the defense with 12 tackles, including 4 sacks. Senior Luis Sanchez had 9 tackles, including 1 sack.

After shutting out the Pioneers (0-7-1) the Dons have now won two in a row. They will face Pioneer at home this Thursday at 7pm at Rants Stadium.
