The Monthly Way To Go Raffle Wheel made its appearance last Wednesday accompanied by Principal Pat Walker and the Link Crew.

Senior Julia Bishara won the big prize, $60, after her ticket was drawn from the Way to Go raffle. Bishara earned Way to Go Raffle tickets for her hard work as a T.A. for Mr. Mattison.

“I didn’t not expect to win because I don’t have the best luck. This was a once in a life high-school thing,” Bishara said.

Freshman Ethan Cafirma won a McDonald’s gift card. He earned his ticket for doing extra work for Mr. Matchett. Cafirma was happy to win, but the like many wheel contests, he was eyeing the money.

“I would have framed the money that Mr.walker gave me above my bedframe,” Cafirma said.

Junior Rayana Bhardwaj, who won a ticket for helping out another student with their project, spun the wheel in front of an enthusiastic class in Mr. Hind’s room, landing on the “mystery prize/classroom party.”

The Raffle Wheel spins the last Wednesday of every month. Winners are selected from those who earn (and submit) a Way to Go Ticket during the month. Way to Go tickets are given to students who show they are “Ready, Respectful, and Real.”
