Victoria Simental is a senior at Cerritos High School  and this is her first year as a writer. Victoria wanted to join journalism to prove to herself that her dyslexia can’t stop her from expressing what she enjoys and cares about in life. She also wanted her mother to see how the people who told her that her daughter wouldn’t learn to read, were completely wrong. Victoria enjoys conversations, music and time with her family.
