With the PSATs coming up this Wednesday, students need a little information and The Informer is here to, well, inform! This article will include information on the test itself, what to expect, and how to prepare.
(Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) is an exam taken to prepare students for the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 8:30 AM, registered students must report to their assigned room with their ID, pencils, approved calculator, and a light snack! The test itself will consist of three sections: Writing and Language, Evidence-Based Reading, and Math. Each section will have a limited amount of time to complete before moving onto the next one. It will take approximately two hours and 45 minutes to complete, including breaks.
If you are one of the Students taking the PSAT and want to prepare there is practice sites that help you. You can find practice tests online for those who want to study, I personally recommend Khan Academy
Although the PSAT is practice, it does lead to stress. A few simple reminders: Be sure to get a good night’s rest before and be ready for a long day of test-taking. Be fast and efficient. Don’t stress out and most importantly, read your questions carefully.
