ABC Unified School District Board President, Mr. Brad Beach, visited Cerritos High School to continue his mission of observing 30 schools in 30 weeks, also known as 30-in-30. He was escorted around the campus by Principal Patrick Walker to see the progress of BB measure and visit classrooms to see the fantastic work our students do every day.

These visits allow Brad Beach a firsthand understanding of a school’s development and give him insight into how the board can assist the schools to flourish as a community.

Under his year-long term as President, the key priority has been the safety of the students, as well as their academic success. He understands that safety includes mental health for all and wants to see a strong mental health support system by the end of his term. According to Beach, “We’re trying to get our students in the right mental state to be successful in the classroom.”

Through these visitations, he finds that every school is unique and remarkable. He was very impressed with the amazing students and the work they put in daily on their paths to success. Beach left the Dons with a message, “I want to tell them that they have a great school here. I’d like them to continue to excel in their academics and athletics, and always be respectful.”
