Students attended winter formal, Midnight Masquerade Ball, on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the picturesque Colony House in Anaheim. The industrial chic venue provided the perfect canvas for Dons to dazzle the dance floor.
Before the day of the dance, Cerritos had a spirit week leading up to the festivities. Including making a mask, dressing as your type day, and throwback Thursday where students donned last year’s winter formal colors. The Friday before the dance, the royals were crowned in the quad. Congratulations to this years’ prince and princesses Michael Kim, Ananaya Torres, Rocco Chua, Raleena Hang, Alan Poon, Yujun Ge, and King and Queen of the Winter Formal, Enzo Jasso, and Kayllah Aceves.
Students were welcomed into the dance with a reminder of the theme which allowing them to choose between a silver or gold mask to weary as they entered The Colony House. The venue had two stories. Downstairs provided outdoor seating as well as a photobooth. Where the upstairs loft offered cozy seating with views of the dance floor below.
No matter what floor the nearly 300 students were on, there were plenty of refreshments and yummy desserts for them. Lemonade and water to recharge after dancing the Caballo Dorado or jumping up and down to Like a G6 by Far East Movement. Treats such as chocolate strawberries, mini cheesecakes, and cake pops filled every student’s plate before they’d return to the dance floor for more fun.
Colorful lights filled the room, as well as the vibrant energy of all the Dons who attended. And that energy will be seen at out next dance, Sadies. Look for the exciting Sadie’s Dance Premiere this January 29, 2025.
