Prom Premiere of ’25 Previews Night of Jazz and Joy

Ready for an unforgettable night of jazzy fun with all of your friends? On Mar. 5, during lunch period, the Prom Premiere featured a series of performances set up by our Junior Class officers, introducing enticing details for the Prom of 2025.

The Prom Premiere began with a Cerritos High School Drama performance, featuring Brenna Popp and Tristan Parker, who played a piano symphony in a sorrowful break-up. The Prom Premiere continued with a graceful catwalk, full of fancy outfit inspiration for Prom. Then, Cerritos High School’s Jazz Band performed “Sebastian and Mia’s Theme”, directed by Mr. Westphal.

ASB President Amy Le and Vice President Riya Srivastav presented this Prom’s exciting theme: La La Land: A Night at the Blue Jazz Cafe. Our Prom King and Queen nominees were announced: Kekoa Usi, Matthew Ferry, Enzo Jasso, Rumaisa Malik, Kayllah Aceves, and Samantha Meili, who took the stage to collect their sash and crown.

The prom was also revealed to be held on Apr. 12 from 7PM to 11PM at the Timeless Venues in Fountain Valley, within The Court’s beautiful ballroom.
Juniors and seniors may collect contracts at the ASB counter. Regular sales will be available from Mar. 17 to Apr. 4 for $130 without an ASB card and $120 with an ASB card, in which all contracts are due by Mar. 14. Late sales will take place from Apr. 7 to Apr. 9, costing $140 for all students.
