For the Class of 2026, the second semester is a mix of finals, college, and the realization that school is coming to an end. However, before our seniors leave, the annual Grad Bash on May 21 will be the final celebration before graduation. The Grad Bash is an exclusive event available only to seniors, allowing them to experience an after-hours version of Universal Studios Hollywood.
Once the park gates close to the public, seniors will have full after-hours access to Universal. From iconic rides like Jurassic World-The Ride and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, to newer rides like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, all will have short lines that seniors can ride. For those with a weak stomach, there will be parties with live DJs around the park and special themed photo ops.
“Im just excited to be able to go out with my friends before we all go to college.” said senior Skye Malabicky, “we can all have a final chaotic time to be kids before we graduate.”
Despite the fun, safety is the most important part of the event, and students must ride through the school-provided buses, as personal drives will not be allowed. The official tickets and wristbands will be handed out at Universal. These rules will ensure a safe and fun night, being the final steps to take before the celebration begins.
Beyond all the fun attractions and energy of Universal, Grad Bash will be a final opportunity to spend quality time with friends, with the weight of assignments and tests gone. This is the last celebration of the hard work that seniors have put in.
The final week following Grad Bash will likely be a blur. As seniors walk through the park gates, it will mark the last time to be together as a class. Grad Bash will be the conclusion to end your high school story, so make sure to cherish it.
Tickets will all be distributed on May 11. Seniors must be present at the 183rd Street parking lot by 4 p.m. for check-in, as buses will leave CHS at 4:30 p.m. and come back at 3 a.m. All school rules apply.
