Senior Sunrise Signals the Don of a New Year

Class of 24 gathers for sunrise picture (Emily Lopez)

At 5am August 12, 2023 members of the class of 24 met in Huntington Beach to take in the sunrise. This tradition is meant to represent the dawning of their senior year. But for most of the seniors it is not about the tradition but also about the friends. As the sun rose in students gathered to take a group photo. Kaelyn Hara said, “The senior sunrise was the perfect opportunity to get together with my classmates and bond before our last year of high school”

When 2024 is done, and they have all graduated, they will return to Huntington Beach to say goodbye to their life as high school seniors with a senior sunset.

Journalism wishes them a unforgettable senior year.
