In a competitive matchup on December 3, 2025, against Downey, the Dons showed determination and effort throughout the game, ultimately coming up short in a 3–0 decision. Despite the result, the team demonstrated strong moments and continues to build momentum early in the varsity soccer season.
The first goal from Downey occurred in the first half of the game when a lucky header gave the team the early lead and momentum. Two goals were scored back-to-back in the second half of the game. Throughout the match, the Dons generated several encouraging opportunities and showed creativity in their attack, even though they weren’t able to put a shot on target this time.
Despite the loss, the team remains positive. “It’s devastating, but we have to keep our heads up, there will be more opportunities later in the season,” says Junior fullback Zachary Park.
The next home game will be on the 10th against Rosemead at 3 pm. Make sure to come out and support our Dons Varsity Soccer team and give them that extra boost they need to bring home the W.
