Our Cerritos girls’ basketball season is right around the corner, and our Lady Dons are ready to start it off strong. With many practices at the start of the school year, the girls’ basketball team has been working hard for this season. They cannot wait to dominate and win this year.

Coach Marcus Chinen said, “Our team’s greatest strength this year will be speed, and we have really good shooters this year.” In addition, the goal for the new season, according to the girls, is to win at least two games in each upcoming tournament. Last year, they came in third in their league overall. The girls’ basketball team has a lot of potential, and they cannot wait to win their upcoming games, which run from late November to January.

Even though the season has just begun, they had an amazing game at the end of November. “Even though it’s hard to tell about our season right now, I know that this one will be great,” said Chinen. Make sure to show your school spirit and cheer them on at their upcoming game on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at Garfield High School.
